PTF 266 X TRANSIENTEN LIMITER
Windows and macOS
Built from neural captures of a real, classic analog limiter, the kind of broadcast and mastering unit that has held peaks on records for decades. The PTF 266 X reproduces the behaviour of the original hardware down to the response of its circuitry, delivering the sound of true analog peak limiting rather than a generic digital approximation.
The LIMIT control offers six limiting voices, each captured from a distinct state of the original unit. They span a full range of response, from light and transparent peak control to firm, dense limiting with added weight and sustain. Every voice holds a fixed, repeatable character, giving precise and consistent results across sessions.
A complete control set supports the limiter: calibrated input and output gain with a plus or minus 24 dB range, a mix control for parallel limiting, automatic level compensation, and a brickwall output ceiling fixed at -0.1 dBFS to guarantee a clip-free signal. Transparent on light material and assertive when driven, the PTF 266 X is equally at home on individual tracks, subgroups and the master bus.
Louder, and always clean
The mix blend lets you limit and keep the life of the original in the same move. Catch the peaks while the untouched signal holds the body, the depth and the natural dynamics. It is the parallel technique mastering engineers rely on, without the routing or a second plugin.
Calibrated input and output gain, with a full plus or minus 24 dB of range and unity at centre, give you exact control over how hard the limiter works and the level it delivers. Automatic level compensation keeps your comparisons honest, so you always judge the sound and never just the volume.
