From invisible glue to full tape character

Used lightly, it is invisible glue. Your mix simply sounds more expensive and more together, with rounder transients, a little low-end weight, and a smooth top that never turns brittle.

Pushed harder, it becomes an effect in its own right: Thick harmonic drive, natural tape compression, and the subtle pitch movement of a transport that never sits perfectly still. Either way it stays musical, because it reacts the way the real machine does.

The real machine's sound, coded from the circuitry

By combining neural hardware modeling, impulse responses, and actual hardware recordings, it delivers true analog soul—from silky high-end softening and rich harmonic saturation to free-running wow & flutter and genuine tape hiss.

The real machine's sound, coded from the circuitry
Good on almost anything.

Drop it on drums for punch and glue a limiter cannot give you. Put it on vocals for warmth and a little forgiveness on harsh consonants. Run it across the mix bus for cohesion and a printed, finished feel. Or use it on anything too clean, to take the digital edge off.

A heavyweight 1970s mastering deck

That engineers reached for when a mix needed to feel real. That character comes from a hundred small imperfections working together, and TELEFUNK M15 captures them. The soft saturation as the tape is driven. The way transients round off instead of stabbing. The gentle low-end weight and the smooth roll at the very top. The faint movement of a mechanical transport that never sits perfectly still.

2.0.0. Update

2.0.0, 25 September 2026. Everything that has changed since 0.3.3, the first release.

The machine on screen

The flat faceplate is gone. The panel is now a rendered model of the TELEFUNK M15 itself, made from a 3D scene of the machine. The reels turn and coast to a stop, the VU needles swing, the tape counter runs and the keys light. Each reel is drawn from 180 rendered positions, so slow movement stays smooth and costs little to draw. The window resizes from 420 to 1000 pixels wide and opens at the size you left it.

A TAPE key

A new key takes the tape stage out of the path together with the level makeup that belongs to it, so you hear M15 with and without the tape at the same level. It fades in and out without a click, and while the tape is out its processing is not run at all.

Tapes from a menu

The eight tape voices are picked from a menu key on the deck, with the one in use ticked. The other keys do what they always did, in the same order: Half-Speed, wobble, presets and power.

Meters that move like meters

The VU needles are modelled as moving-coil movements. They reach 99 per cent of a reading in 300 milliseconds with a slight overshoot, as the VU standard describes. 0 VU sits at -12 dBFS, so a track at a healthy level reads mid-scale.

Level-matched from the start

A new M15 leaves your level where it was, 0.0 dB in to out. The factory setting used to add about 13 dB, and a plugin that is louder than the dry track wins every comparison for the wrong reason. Saved projects keep their own settings.

It remembers

A new instance opens with the settings the last one was left at, like outboard gear that stays where it was set. The floppy key lists every preset in your preset folder, one click each.

Steadier in a busy session

The audio thread no longer asks the system for memory while it plays, which removes a rare cause of dropouts.

Seven days to try it

The activation screen carries a day countdown, a button to carry on with the trial and a Get a serial number button that opens the shop. It remembers the email address you used, keeps a half-typed key while you switch to your mail, and shows once per DAW session during a trial.

Free for every owner

2.0.0 is a free update with the same licence key. Download it from your account page. A computer that was already activated stays activated, and projects made with an earlier version open and sound the same.
