What we keep, and why.
When you buy. Your name, your e-mail address, a code that identifies each computer you install on, and the name and version of the program the plugin runs in on that computer. We need the code to stop one licence being installed on fifty machines. We keep this while the licence is valid. If an activation is refused, because the key is wrong, used up or withdrawn, we keep the key that was tried, the computer code, the address it came from and its country, for one year.
When you visit. A count of page views by day, by page, by country and by city, and each page view with the page, where you came from, your country and your city. No addresses are stored: the address is turned into a country and a city on our own server and thrown away. Nothing here can identify a person. Single page views are kept for thirteen months; the day counts are kept.
How long. Your name, e-mail address, computer codes and the program each runs in, while the licence is valid. A trial, for two years after it ends. Which build you downloaded and from which address, for one year. Activations we refused, for one year. Single page views, for thirteen months. A mail sent to the list, with whether it was read, for two years. A sweep runs every day and removes what is older.
Payments. Handled by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
E-mail. If you are on the mailing list, every message has a one-click unsubscribe and it works immediately. We keep when and how you came onto the list (you bought from us, or you asked), and for each mail we sent you whether it was opened and which link was pressed, for two years. You are on it because you bought from us, tried one of our plugins, or asked for our news, and one press takes you off.
Who else sees it. Nobody. We do not sell, share or trade any of it, and there is no advertising network on this site.
